The Divine Guidess is a photo series dedicated to the angelic presence of a black woman. The angelic presence as they exist in life and in the after life. An ode to the women who have watched over not only their own but an entire nation. The powerful aurora of the black woman that, for what I believe, has turned imaginative bouts of strength into reality. This series features the likes of the young black man as he goes throughout his day covered, unknowingly shielded from the world by the very woman who society pits him against the most. The Divine Guidess is a symbol of the power our women hold, that stronghold of faith, love and guidance. She is the "Guidess",derived from the word Goddess, this is the everyday angelic presence of the black woman. Thank you and God bless to the many hands that helped make this possible, “The Divine Guidess” series is now on display at Hilltop Coffee and Kitchen located at 4427 W Slauson Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90043 for the month of September.
